Project overview
Sadik.ru is a modern online store built for the convenient sale of plants of various types: large specimens, container plants, open-ground plants and custom-shaped plants.
The goal of the project was to create a resource combining rich content, customer convenience and integration with the client's internal systems, including 1C, to automate and streamline business processes.

- Build a resource providing complete information about the nursery's plants and services.
- Implement portfolio and catalogue sections to attract new customers.
Selling plants:
- Deliver a convenient checkout flow supporting selection, editing and purchase of different plant types.
- Prepare the site for future product range expansion and new marketplaces.
Customer account:
- Implement order management, favourites and personal data management.
1C integration:
- Set up automatic catalogue updates and synchronisation of stock levels and order statuses between the site and 1C.
User management system:
- Role-based access for administrators, managers and customers.

- 1C integration: catalogue, stock and order status synchronisation.
- An intuitive user interface (UI).
- User and access rights management system.
Testing:
- Verifying the 1C integration and system reliability.
- Testing across devices and browsers.
Launch and support:
- Training the client's staff.
- Technical support during rollout.

Development methodology
Kanban — a methodology that allows the team to respond flexibly to changes during the project.
- Tasks are set on a Kanban board.
- Progress is monitored at every stage.
- Bottlenecks are removed promptly and tasks are prioritised.
Technology stack
Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React)
HTML5 and CSS3:
- Enable a responsive, accessible interface that renders correctly on all devices.
- CSS3 simplifies advanced animations and styling, improving the user experience.
React:
- High performance: React's virtual DOM minimises real DOM updates for a smooth interface.
- Component-based approach: speeds up development and simplifies maintenance through reusable components.
- Community and ecosystem: a wide range of ready-made libraries and integration tools.
- Easy scaling: new features and pages can be added without major architectural changes.
Backend: PHP (Symfony Framework)
Symfony Framework:
- Reliability: Symfony is one of the most popular PHP frameworks, actively maintained by its community.
- Modularity: Symfony components allow the functionality to be tailored to the project's needs.
- Integration: Symfony ships with ready-made API tooling, which greatly simplified the 1C integration.
- Complex business logic: Symfony handles complex queries with high performance even at scale.
PHP:
- Wide adoption: PHP is the standard for server-side web development, especially in e-commerce.
- Compatibility: supports the many libraries an online store needs.
- Talent availability: experienced PHP developers are easy to find, simplifying long-term support.
Database: MySQL
- Performance: MySQL is optimised for large data volumes — essential for a store with a large catalogue.
- Reliability: a proven DBMS for commercial applications with high fault tolerance.
- Complex queries: processes database queries efficiently, ensuring fast page loads and catalogue search.
- 1C integration: MySQL adapts easily to storing and processing data coming from 1C.
1C integration: SOAP/REST API
SOAP:
- Provides a strict data exchange structure, which is critical when working with accounting systems such as 1C.
REST API:
- Used for lighter requests such as order status updates or product data retrieval.
- Using both technologies allowed a flexible integration covering all of the client's synchronisation requirements.
Why this stack is a perfect fit for Sadik.ru
Cost optimisation: the chosen technologies deliver the project economically while maintaining high quality standards.
Flexibility: the stack adapts easily to new features, such as additional marketplaces or analytics modules.
Scalability: the solutions handle growing data and user volumes without re-architecting.
Maintainability: a large community and available specialists simplify long-term support and enhancements.
The combination of React, Symfony and MySQL provides the performance, reliability and scalability that make this stack ideal for the goals of Sadik.ru.
